Who Can Join
Membership in the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS) is open to all members in good standing with the Texas Optometric Association, optometry students and optometry residents who have an interest in practicing in and around Austin, Texas. The CTOS is a constituent society of the Texas Optometric Association (TOA). Guest optometrists may attend educational meetings and social events upon payment of Registration Fees, but may have restricted access to events in rare situations if seating is limited. The CTOS is proud to provide to local optometrists a variety and abundance of continuing education (CE) courses, dinner at popular area restaurants, and social and networking opportunities with colleagues. Members and paid Guests have full access to the monthly newsletters and are welcome to post any advertisements or announcements for free. Members and paid Guests are also eligible to attend social functions such as the annual CTOS Christmas party and occasional Networking Socials at some of Austin’s finest venues. All Members and paid Guests are invited and encouraged to attend CTOS meetings and will have their CE hours complimentarily submitted to the Texas Optometry Board for credit.
